Trade fair participation stimulates new impetus for foreign business

Helmut May, General Manager of Emunds + Staudinger, Hückelhoven, is very happy with bauma 2004. "Despite the testing economic situation in the construction industry, our trade fair participation went well", explains May. "We attracted far more visitors than at last year's bauma, and there was a gratifying increase in the number of visitors from the trade." Foreign business has also been boosted, with new impetus from the American and Asian markets. Exciting new business contacts have been made here.

"Our talks again clearly showed what our customers expect of us these days," May continues. "There is a definite trend towards a broader range of consultancy services, even at the planning and tendering stages. What's more, our customers want products enabling them to carry out their projects quickly and cost-effectively." For this reason, Emunds+Staudinger presented not only its construction site methods, but also a review of its current range of safety equipment for civil engineering. These include edge- and centre-supported systems, sliding rail systems, piling frame elements, special shoring systems, and aids and accessories. The E+S showpiece exhibits were Linear Shoring - the efficient shoring system has been extended to include a modified roller unit - and the Site Road, which has been enjoying big demand since its launch. Horizontal boring equipment for trenchless pipe-laying rounds off the extensive product range. Demand in this market segment has also been rising steadily over the last two years. This is where the company's strategy has paid off: The user on site can call at any time on the technical support and extensive services of Emunds+Staudinger.
